Meet the ABLE team
Eileen Wheeler Sheehan, President
Since she formed ABLE in 1989, Eileen has seen the company grow from the coat closet of her mother’s house to a widely recognized staffing agency serving the businesses and workforce throughout Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is a Certified Staffing Professional. A graduate of Vassar College, Eileen became a senior officer at Citibank and Merrill Lynch in New York. She also helped to found the National Political Women’s Caucus and recruit addicts into treatment at the NYC Addiction Services Agency.
Eileen has long chaired the Rotary Club Vocational Services Committee and the Westport Town Personnel Board. She was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club and a Friend of Public Education by the MA Association of School Committees. She is proud to be part of a service where the new opportunities never end.
Ron Rezendes, Chief Financial Officer
Ron is the Chief Financial Officer and technical guru of ABLE Associates. He has figured out how to put fun in his day. He often takes his work to Mexico, or Jamaica, or wherever the sun shines. And never has a paycheck or payment been late. He keeps the company financially stable and highly automated.
With a B.A. in accounting from Bryant College, Ron was an accountant, a controller and an operations manager for 30 years before joining ABLE Associates.
Katherine Clark, Recruiter
Katherine Clark is one of the many faces you will see coming into ABLE Associates. Beginning as a Service Coordinator, Katherine was quickly promoted to a recruiter.
Her welcoming and positive presence exudes with every candidate she encounters. While helping candidates understand the employment process, Katherine remains friendly and encouraging but also carries the ability to size people up. She has made a variety of different connections across our local community and is always ready to get involved in any aspect of ABLE. She is a true team player and we are elated to have her on our team.
Some fun facts about Katherine are that she is a veteran horse trainer and riding instructor in local stables. She has a long-standing reputation for creating positive experiences among new riders. Furthermore, Katherine is also a painter and a ceramic artist.
Katherine has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics.
Dora Botelho, Senior Recruiter
Dora is a highly skilled and flexible recruiter. Her strong ties with local industries have been a key factor in her success.
Beginning as a customer service representative for the Orlando Super Center, Dora was quickly promoted to office manager after creating smoother and more efficient office procedures. Organized and thorough, Dora makes sure that her employees know as much as possible about the job they will be doing, as well as fair employment practices.
In addition to her professionalism, Dora possesses extraordinary intuitive skills. Dora’s candidates are sized up, polished, nurtured and coached until they finally come out shining and poised for success. “I can see things in people that they sometimes don’t even know they have. I can help them make the most of these qualities and take their career to the next level.”
Dora’s ability to speak Portuguese and Spanish is a huge asset and contributes to the welcoming atmosphere at ABLE Associates.
Shannon is the Administrative Assistant here at ABLE Associates and the first person you will see when you walk into our office. Shannon is the friendly face and voice that will most likely greet our clients either in person or on the phone. She maintains orderliness in the office and assisting candidates with on boarding documents. While helping candidates understand the employment process, and working on various administrative tasks for the office, It is important to her that each candidate leaves with a feeling of ease and confidence. Shannon remains friendly and encouraging and shares the team’s primary goal which is to help you!
In her spare time, Shannon has a strong interest in giving back to the community and making a difference to the people around her by volunteering at her local church. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and spending time outdoors with her yellow lab McKinley.
Shannon is a dedicated and talented recruiter. She joins our team with over 15 years of management experience, having worked in training, human resources and retail banking. Most recently she served as a Vice President and branch manager for a global bank. She’s an innovative professional with outstanding team-building, problem solving and training skills, who’s a top resource for resume building, interviewing skills and employee relations. If you want a recruiter with the skills and drive to help you not only meet, but exceed your career goals, Shannon will guide you every step of the way.
Shannon is a firm believer in the ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’ philosophy. She’s an avid pool player. She’s played in many leagues and tournaments, throughout Ma & RI. She also loves to have fun in the sun! Whether she’s boating, exploring the shore line or just basking in the sun, Shannon’s summer home away from home is at the beach.
Throughout her career, Shannon has maintained strong ties within both the greater New Bedford and greater Fall River communities, by volunteering for a variety of community outreach programs and organizations. She enjoys volunteering as a Junior Achievement instructor; she served on the board for the United Way of Greater Fall River Funds Allocation Committee and served as a ‘loaned executive’ for the United Way of Greater Fall River fundraising campaign. She’s also a member of the Fall River and the New Bedford Chamber of Commerce. Shannon majored in theater at Bristol Community College and served as President of the BCC Theatre Repertoire Company.
Tanya Rivera-Falcone, Marketing Coordinator
Tanya Rivera-Falcone is our Marketing Coordinator. She joins us with over 17 years of corporate sales, executive leadership, and marketing experience. She brings a wealth of knowledge, not only in marketing, but in sales strategy, client acquisition, leadership development, and talent management. She studied Marketing in college and fell in love with the industry at the age of 18.
Tanya also works as a Brand and Marketing Strategist for online and brick and mortar businesses.
Tanya has a passion for marketing and brings that into our office creating strategies to expand our online reach and grow our community. She takes her analytical skills and creativity to promote our Brand, showcase our amazing talent, and our community outreach efforts.
In her spare time, Tanya loves to hang out with friends and family, shop with her daughter, and travel to beach destinations with her family.
